I dubbined a boot...
I'm sure I'll get round to doing the other one some time.
They're beautiful boots. Wear mine at work; they're rather smart.
Took a chisel to the stock of my K98 to fit the hop block. I think I'm going to use a grub screw to adjust it, never liked the sliding thing.

it's what i always do ,i think it works better without creeping and besides that every vsr hop i have ever seen, even brand spanking new has cracked at the screw hole where the metal adjuster piece screws on .

Give me a big enough hammer and a place to stand and I could fix the world.
i'll kill a man in a fair fight or if i think he's going to start a fair fight or over a woman or.......

if a job's not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well
Luckily mine hasn't yet I don't think but the slidey thing that moves over the barrel to adjust the arm is splitting due to the screws being overtightened at some point. Not too fussed though as I can cnc new parts if I need them. Today I've got almost everything together that I need to make it work minus the magazine hole. Going to cut out the rear sight part from the donor dboys and fit that then it's mostly cosmetics!
i found that after cutting the sight out roughly then by wrapping a discarded piece of the old vsr barrel in Emery cloth i can use that to shape under the sight piece to get i nice snug fit on the barrel.

Well I got the sight trimmed off with no damage. I'll give that a try.
Just got a new mosfet in to try and solve the issues with the Garand, It seems to work fine without the fuse so I'm going to reduce the size of fuse or maybe do away with it and fit a mosfet to stop trigger arcing.
Went to the Turner and Nelson exhibitions at the National Maritime Museum. Saw my beloved Charlton win last night as well. Good 48hrs.
glued some veneer to the bottom of the magazines for my No4

Did a little more on the metalwork of my K98, still searching for a front spring band. I don't want there to be one random plastic part.
...am waiting to have a tooth yanked out, severe tooth ache for over 36hrs now.
"Will you stop talking about the war!!"
"What, you started it!"
"We did NOT start it!"
"Yes you did, you invaded Poland..."
Top tip for Toothache: Let lemsip go cold and take sips of it and swill around the offending tooth. It worked for me and seemed to have almost immediate effect.
My kids managed to knock out a filling from a tooth I broke 5 years ago whilst snowboarding inn Norway, got it fixed there, didn't even know the filling was missing till dentist told me, now can either have tooth removed or root canal on it, think ill loose tooth thank you very much as it can't be saved any other way due to more damage my sons head caused when he head butted me.

What a fun day I've had, I've polished up my ankle boots, along with my Swiss leather gaiters (No good for WWII but very practical additions to any set of low boots) and stained a couple of inexplicably green utility straps black with polish, they now look just right wrapped around my gasmask can.
I've fired a bullet on every continent. Nearly hit someone, too.
Today i ache all over after Spilamberto

Watched the London Marathon start from the top of the road and saw Mo Farah.
Help for Heroes were out in force; including two Paras in full kit. Pretty humbling.

Spent a few hours with B&Q paint stripper on the metalwork of a few rifles. Suffice to say I'll never be buying another rubbish B&Q product again!
